Changing Seasons
The evidence is all around us, from a little boy holding his mother’s hand on his way for the second day of school (in many ways, the second day can be more scary than the first, now you really know what to worry about); to the deep red of chili peppers that were in the market this morning; to the tractors filled with golden yellow tobacco, it’s clear that we are entering autumn.
We’re talking about how to change the menu for fall, and as eager as I was for that first summer tomato, now I’m just as anxious for that first porcini from our hills. Now, if only we would have some rain, maybe my porcini fantasies would be fulfilled.
