Seoksu Art Project: Adopt a Pot
My artist friend Elaine Tin Nyo is spending a few months in Korea as a artist in residence with the Seoksu Art Project. Here's your chance to step up to the plate and support art…while adopting a pot!
Here's Elaine's recent e-mail:
Dear Friends,
After
a month and a half of eating and drinking here in Anyang,* I am about
to undertake the practical part of my culinary education. I have
convinced a few locals to teach me to make kimchi, makgeolli (a fizzy
fermented rice beverage) and other fermented foods. In addition to
mixing bowls and ingredients, I must buy ceramic kimchi jars to do this
the proper way. The number and variety of fermented projects will
depend on your generosity.

I hope you can help me finance this endeavor by contributing to Adopt a Pot.
For
your $10 contribution you will receive a photo and a personal profile
of the pot you are sponsoring. Your pot will update you about
its well-being, its contents and the meals to which it contributes. You
may also send your pot notes or small gifts if you wish. Remember that
sponsorship of a pot also contributes to the enrichment of an entire
community here at the Seoksu Art Project creating a better environment
in which your pot may thrive. It offers a ceramic pot a chance at a
brighter future as a participant in an aesthetic project.
