Jamie Oliver at TED Conference

his dude is saying everything that I’ve been saying for years. People need to cook, people need to get into the kitchen, sit around a table together.
Watch the video, then let’s talk. It’s important.

This came into my email box, and I thought I’d share it with you.
BRAVO Jamie Oliver…. How true and how sad that we have become a nation of “Hurry and Eat”. I grew up in a small town were the local farmers brought their goods to sell twice a week right to ur door! Growing up I never gave nutrition a thought because food (home cooked) was always on the table.. I did not taste a can of soup until I was in my teens and I thought I died and went to heaven to be able to get soup from a can !! My mom made soup every day and I didnt appreciate or know the value of this. How sad! As I grew up I got away from homemad and fresh…Convienience was so much better.

Thank you Jamie Oliver for knocking us upside the head and making us realize we hve to do better for our children and ourselves…..A MOM

P.S. I just got an email from my dear friend Jane in the UK, and she refers to Chef Oliver as Saint Jamie.
I am sooo late coming to this party, but better late than never.
    Judith
