A day at the beach.
Well, it was actually two days. On the Adriatic side, in the Monte Conero area, in the Marche region, during a heat wave, when I needed it most.
It’s been hot and we’ve been working hard, and the moment came when we could run to the beach with some friends for an overnight. You either seize the moment or you let it slip. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem.
So there we were, eating clams and moscioli (the local mussels), basking in the sun, sipping verdicchio, walking on a rough, pebbly beach, gracelessly sliding into the embrace of the ocean. Enjoying nature as it was meant to be, obsessed with the attraction of young, browned bodies and the fascination with all the other shapes and sizes that bodies come in.
We drank, we laughed, we ate, we enjoyed. Carpe Diem.
